Hotel Amatte

About Us: The Shelter of the Good Nest

Located on a hill with spectacular views of San Miguel de Allende, Amatte is a sanctuary of luxury and well-being where gastronomy, relaxation, and design create unforgettable experiences. Inspired by the Nahuatl word Amate, which evokes the idea of a nest, our space invites calm, connection, and full enjoyment.

Design and philosophy

Designed by Japanese architect Shinji Miyazaki, Amatte follows the Wabi-Sabi philosophy (侘寂), finding beauty in imperfection and in the natural. Every corner of the hotel is filled with endemic vegetation, creating a living environment that flows with the essence of San Miguel de Allende. The combination of vertical and horizontal architectural elements strengthens the connection between the space and its surroundings, generating an atmosphere of pure harmony.
